Chiropractic isn’t a treatment for colic!

March 27, 2017
Colic is considered a condition that resolves on its own with the passage of enough time, and most doctors have no recommendations for Mothers and Fathers who are feeling helpless and frustrated in this situation.  But Chiropractic care can help, and is often overlooked and underutilized for these frustrated infants, there are many case studies showing improvement among colicky babies with vertebral subluxations or misalignments. Unfortunately, large scale research results on Colic are lacking.

In October 1999 JMPT performed a study on small group of 50 infants. Half received the drug dimethicone for their colic symptoms and the other spinal manipulation by a licensed Chiropractor, after two-week study ended the babies being adjusted saw a 67% reduction in crying and the drug therapy group saw a 38% reduction.

Chiropractic isn’t a treatment for colic! If vertebral subluxation is present, interfering with the proper function of any part of the body, restoring proper nervous system control often allows the body to heal.

For 6 months, I was dealing with a pain in my side that several doctor’s visits, expensive medical tests, and even another chiropractor had not been able to name or treat. I scheduled a regular chiropractic appointment with Dr. Vann and In 3 minutes, she relieved me of pain that several doctors had not been able to identify. I highly recommend Dr. Vann.
