With deep ancestral roots in North Carolina, Kimberly Graham grew up and nurtured her family in the McGee’s Crossroads area of Johnston County. Over the years, she has served the community in many ways including Cleveland Middle School PTA Board Member, Girl Scout Troop Leader, Special Olympics volunteer, and Youth for Understanding international education exchange organization host parent and volunteer. After living in Kentucky for 12 years, her love for North Carolina, commitment to being of service, and dedication to building community led her back to Johnston County.
Kimberly is a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist who studied Therapeutic Massage at Johnston Community College graduating with High Honors. She believes in providing skilled scientific based compassionate care in partnership with clients to support the body’s innate ability to heal and maintain wellness. Providing medical massage, Kimberly assists clients with release of muscle tension and myofascial pain relief which allows an increase in range of motion. Kimberly is a member of Associated Massage and Bodywork Professionals and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Whether the focus is stress reduction and relaxation, pain relief and restoration, or athletic performance optimization, Kimberly uses therapeutic massage modalities and education to assist clients in achieving their health and wellness goals. She is trained in Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial, aromatherapy, trigger point therapy, and is a Reiki Master Teacher. With a growing body of research supporting its value as an integrative therapy, Reiki (a Japanese healing technique) is offered in many US hospitals and clinics including Duke Integrative Medicine. Reiki is an ancient healing practice that is used to reduce stress, improve health and quality of life, and support physical and emotional healing. Research suggests that using Reiki as a complementary therapy activates the parasympathetic nervous system to heal the body and mind through the relaxation response.
In her free time, Kimberly enjoys all things nature and loves spending time with family outdoors gardening, hiking, and exploring. She also enjoys cooking, reading a great book, and making art – especially with her children and grandchildren.
